Report of Sg. Pusu Waterfall
GOD IS GREAT!!!…
One fine afternoon, a few dudes went trekking into the forest to revisit a “waterfall” that some of them have been to before. On the way in, as they were trekking along the river, they encountered a huge paw print which was still fresh. About 8 inches across. That was enough to change the atmosphere from very lively to very serious. But not for long. The atmosphere went back to being cheerful when one of the dudes was tricked into walking on a huge log across a very deep ravine over a river. All the dudes had a great laugh at the expense of the poor dude that was tricked.
Upon arrival at the “waterfall”, the dudes were a little disappointed to find that there was a group of aboriginal boys there catching fish at a very high rate of success. They were having a lot of fun which resulted in the group of dudes changing their plan from fishing to just swimming. Most of the dudes participated in the swimming and diving activities there. The “waterfall” was a very magnificent sight to behold not to mention the “huge” and “deep” pool which provided adequate area for the dudes to swim. 2 at a time. There are even rumors that it is better than the famous “Berkelah” falls.
After a few rounds of swimming and loafing and eating, the dudes decided that waiting for the second group was going to be futile and decided to make their way out. Little did they know of the surprise that awaits them. On the way out, the dudes encountered even more prints than on the way in. Very fresh. They were scared shitless. All of them started saying all sorts of prayers. The atmosphere changed to a very serious one and the trek out was quiet and quick. Until they met up with the second group on their way in. After being advised not to carry on due to the nature of the local fauna, they turned tail and joined the first group out. The atmosphere suddenly became very lively and laughter filled the air. Approaching the last part of the trek out, rain came visiting. Light and sparse but still rain.
Overall, the trip was colorful and enjoyable. Everyone had a lot of fun even though some were slightly disappointed with the location. Some didn’t even arrive at the location. The memory of the prints will remain fresh in the minds of the dudes who encountered them for a long time to come. A few lessons were learnt during this trip: 1.Pray for safety and protection and God will protect you. 2.Respect the forest, it’s inhabitants and all the flora and fauna. 3.Leave no trace when you enter and exit an environment that doesn’t belong to you. 4.Learn how to fish effectively. 5.Select a pristine location if looking for enjoyment.
