Lata Hammers – Lata Perting(Bentong)
Last Sunday (27 May 2007), 6 of our ARC members have been to Lata Perting, also called Lata Hammers. It was a crash planned, just as 12 pm, adi_kurin printed out the information from WaterfallsOfMalaysia website, and ask us to join.
We departed from UIA at 2 pm, with 2 cars. We stop at Genting Sempah for lunch and zuhur prayer, and proceed to Lata Perting at 3 pm. We arrive there exactly at 4 went inside by foot 10 minutes after that. The route was quite easy to follow, as the route was really wide and easy to follow. This is really what we call “nice and easy trip” 
After After 30 minutes, we arrived at the waterfall.
The waterfall not too high, but the setting is very nice. There is a sand area, where it looks like beach, and its a nice place for camping. There are a few banners left by other visitors before us. The area is very clean, and hopefully it remains. The water is so dark, maybe its too deep inside. There were also timber in the water, I even stuck at the branch in the water when swimming.
Its really a nice place to go, as it just took us less than 3 hours for us from UIA to get wet. We took pictures, and depart back at 6 pm.
